Less than 1% of Events are EIC Certified as Sustainable

The EIC reported nearly 1.9 million B2B events in the US hosted in 2024, but only seven achieved the EIC Sustainable Event Certification in 2024.

Only 3% have set Carbon Emission Reduction Goals

According to Knowland Research and ConferenceDirect, 12% of events have general sustainability goals, but only 3% have carbon reduction goals.

50% have NO Sustainability Programs

Knowland Research and Conference Direct report more than 50% of events have no sustainability programs, and 35% have implemented a mix of programs but have not set defined reduction goals.

Endless climate disasters continue around the world, but most events have NO PLAN to address their contributions to the crisis!

Join us and help reimagine Sustainable Events per the NZCE

Our goal is to benchmark 1% of the business events in the US, which equals approximately 19,000 gatherings, to provide the first accurate representation of the event industry and the sources of its environmental impacts.

Join the mission to rethink Event Management

The Net-Zero Carbon Events Roadmap

What Is the NZCE Roadmap?

New guidance from the United Nations and over 700 leading organizations calls for a complete rethink of how we plan, measure, and manage events. The Net-Zero Carbon Events (NZCE) Roadmap urges a shift from complex, outdated ESG models to a focused, data-driven approach that prioritizes carbon reduction above all else.

System-Wide Rethinking

The NZCE Roadmap calls for a fundamental rethink in how events are planned and delivered—moving beyond individual efforts to a coordinated, system-wide approach.

Decarbonization requires collaboration across the entire events value chain, including organizers, venues, suppliers, destinations, and supporting industries like aviation and food production. This collective action is essential to address the most challenging aspects of event sustainability.

Priority Action Areas

It identifies Priority Action Areas for joint efforts within the industry and with external partners, emphasizing that lasting change depends on cross-sector cooperation and shared responsibility. These priority action areas address production, electricity, transportation, materials, and food, with a focus on standardized data collection and reporting.

Continuous Improvement

It promotes standardized data collection and reporting,  guidance on establishing a carbon emissions baseline, and encourages events to set measurable targets, track progress, and continuously improve sustainability performance—moving toward a 50% reduction in emissions by 2030 and net-zero by 2050.

Why It Matters

Collecting accurate, event-specific data in these three areas is crucial for creating a complete carbon footprint, benchmarking performance, and minimizing the emissions from the global events industry.

Updated Structure and Alignment

Green Analytics was built from the ground up to provide the updated structure and financial systems the NZCE Roadmap calls for. We streamline this process, ensuring your event’s data is comprehensive, reliable, and ready for reporting.

Our services are designed to:

  • Simplify Sustainability: Remove the cost and complexity barriers that have stalled progress for most organizations.
  • Standardize Measurement: Use 100% event-sourced data and recognized methodologies to benchmark and report emissions.
  • Drive Accountability: Distribute responsibilities and costs fairly across all event stakeholders.
  • Enable Adoption: Offer universal assessment models and flexible financial structures, making sustainability accessible for every event—regardless of size or location.

Step One: Register Your Events for FREE

Green Analytics uses the EIC definition of a Business Event to qualify official spaces and stakeholders related to an event's operation and carbon emissions. How many of your functions meet the EIC criteria of a Business Event? Let us build a free profile for your organization to identify the scope of your operations.

Step Two: Submit Your Data

We utilize data from the EPA to identify the leading sources of carbon emissions, which are responsible for more than 75% of the total carbon footprint in the US. Organizers can submit their raw data and invoices across the three emissions segments.

Production Materials

Transportation & Travel

Production Materials

Data is gathered from all materials, equipment, and services used to bring the event to life. Costs are tracked following LEED and NZCE standards.

Energy Consumption

Transportation & Travel

Production Materials

Electricity use data is collected directly from equipment and spaces managed by the event organizer, following LEED,  EPA and NZCE guidance.

Transportation & Travel

Transportation & Travel

Transportation & Travel

Transportation covers the movement of attendees, staff, suppliers, and freight. Data points include miles traveled, modes of transport, and fuel types used.

Step Three: Let Green Analytics do the Rest

We know you're busy. Just submit your raw data and Green Analytics will take care of everything else. Organizers will receive a preliminary carbon footprint report within 48 hours of data submission, with the official report provided within seven days of the close of the event, not months later.

Digitized Records and 24/7 Access

We provide 24/7 access to all your event files, invoices and records, providing a digital resource to help construct sustainable events in the future.

New Framework and Sustainable Production Grade

Our new Sustainable Production Grading system provides the first design-based reporting in the industry that highlights the positive, and sustainable elements of the events production and design.

Long Term Strategic Planning

We identify your Carbon Footprint using verified calculators approved by the NZCE and industry leaders to provide a clear five year plan to benchmark your emissions and meet the 2030 goals.

Universal Assessment in Any Venue or Destination

Our assessment is the first of its kind, allowing organizers to receive reporting based entirely on first person data from the event, and not venue operations or municipal sources. This new methodology allows planners to receive the same data platform regardless of the destination or venue, which has never been possible.

Align your events with the 2030 reduction goal on the path to 2050

At Green Analytics, we specialize in providing expert consulting services to businesses of all sizes. Our process provides a clear path to the 2030 IPCC goal, targeting the three leading causes of carbon emissions and drastically simplifying what your team is asked to address. All guidance has shifted to a emissions targeted approach to limit greenhouse gas emissions and meet the 2050 net-zero target set by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

The 2050 IPCC Target

To shift global production, electricity and transportation models to net-zero technologies that cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030, and are net-zero by 2050.
